Keen and Graev’s Gaming Blog has a great post on what to look forward to in Warhammer’s end game. I could not agree more with Keen. An mmorpg should not be focused on leveling. I want excitement, adventure and exploration. I think pvp adds to this unending gameplay. Pvp is user generated content: the Web2.0 of the mmorpg.
Warhammer Online released its June video podcast. These podcasts walk viewers through the Warhammer Online production process. As we wait for the release of the mmorpg, these podcasts are a great way to find out more about Warhammer Online.
If you are interested in this blog and the upcoming mmorpg, Warhammer Online, please subscribe to my RSS feed. If you don’t know about RSS, here is an explaination. This explanation is adapted from post written on Seth Godin’s blog.
What’s RSS?
RSS is a signal that comes from a favorite blog or site, telling your computer that it has been updated. If you have an RSS reader (and they’re free and easy, and I recommend Google Reader), whenever a blog is updated, it shows up in your reader and you can catch up on the news. If there’s nothing new, it doesn’t show up and you don’t have to waste time surfing around.
GETTING IT: All you have to do to subscribe to this blog is ONE of the following:
a. click on this icon on the home page of War Hammer Online.

![]()
or
b. Copy the text in red below into your RSS reader.

c. Easiest of all, just click the link below:
Link: War Hammer Online - powered by FeedBurner”>War Hammer Online - powered by FeedBurner.
EVERYWHERE: RSS is just about everywhere you want it to be. So add other RSS feeds on stuff you care about. And if you want a downloadable reader, just go to google and search on “RSS reader” and the name of your computer OS. You’ll find a bunch.
That’s it. You’re done.
Free, easy, permanent until you undo it and it’ll save you time.

Here is the trailer for Warhammer Online. This trailer clearly shows that personality of Warhammer. Sure you have orcs, goblins, and dwarves, but it mixes in a little humor in the fantasy genre. I love it when the orc has just launched himself from a catapult trying to get into the castle. Instead of victoriously landing in the caste and slaughtering the inhabitants, he hits the wall. I am sure that the storyline in Warhammer will keep us entertained.
Welcome to War Hammer Online. This blog is devoted to Mythic’s upcoming mmorpg Warhammer Online. My goal for this site is to provide you with Warhammer Online news, guides, quest information and general adventuring advice. I hope that this becomes your source for everything Warhammer Online.
Again, welcome.

War Hammer Fiction (The Orcs Armpit - by Hugh Cook)

I love this story. Totally gets me in the Warhammer mood. Until Warhammer Online is released, or you get a beta account, this will have to do.
This short Story by Hugh Cook and though it was not written with Warhammer in mind, I think you’ll like it.
The Orc’s Armpit
Taragon Arc thrust his sword into the belly of the Mantavil Orc, and it screamed, and coughed green blood. Dying, it tried to claw him. He threw up his strong left arm. Claws screamed across chain mail. The foul stench of burning rubber enveloped him. He was eye to eye with the orc, and the orc’s eyes were red, red as the sun sinking through smoke.
“Die,” said Taragon, twisting the sword.
And the orc coughed smoke and died.
Well we just added some screenshots, and a review my friend who got a beta account for Warhammer Online wrote for me. He gave it a pretty incredible review, but I give his review a 7 out of 10 for poor grammar. Oh well.
“World of Warcraft is losing its appeal” - Yeah, sure.

Videogamer.com is running an interview with Joel Bylos a developer of Age of Conan. He claims that “World of Warcraft is losing its appeal”. That is some mega wishful thinking considering the continuing growth of WOW.
I am eagerly awaiting, Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning, but until then, WoW is king.
Anyone care to comment, are you getting bored of WoW?
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR), the massively-multiplayer online role-playing game from EA Mythic, has surpassed 500,000 closed beta registrants in North America and Europe. Beta testing resumes next week with a special sneak peek at the new Dark Elf lands and careers.
Thanks to the response from fans around the world, the development team says it now has a strong pool of gamers to tap for WAR’s final testing stages.
Poised to be one of the biggest new MMORPG releases releases of next year, WAR is slated for launch in Q2 2008. The Beta Centre is still open and accepting recruits at war-europe.com.
Based on Games Workshop’s epic and longstanding tabletop fantasy war game, Warhammer Online features revolutionary realm v realm gameplay that immerses players in a world of perpetual conflict.
