Some incredible gloomy backgrounds that show the capability of Warhammer Onlines Graphics engine.

Some wicked shots of a dwarf attacking an orc and some kind of wyvern thing, also a goblin contraption. Warhammer is beginning to look like a great Christmas Present.

Some indoor shots from Warhammer Online. Amazing cathedrals and such a dark feeling. More dwarves, and goblins.

This is what makes Warhammer phenomenal, look at the second picture, a gun. Nothing like a little bit of flavor in your MMO. He looks a lot cooler than a hunter from World of Warcraft too. And look at that freaking ORC!?!?

There is just something about the dwarves in Warhammer online, look at the dwarves in these screenshots. They look fun to play. Cannons are usable by characters to, crazy.

Some shots from the human realms in Warhammer Online. These guys look ready to kick some goblin butt. Incredible screenshots from warhammeronline.com

Posted: June 8, 2007These characters from Warhammer Online look pretty good. The graphics are wicked good. Look at the glowing hammer in Screenshot #3, or the caster in Screenshot #8. I can’t wait to get me hands on some Age of Reckoning.

I’ve been playing it on a pc w/ XP, 3ghz single core, 1gb of ram, nvidia 7900 w/ 512mb of video ram. It’s choppy and I’ve had to turn the graphics all the way down (”fastest framerate”) to play at all. I added another gb of ram so now I’ve got 2 gb (this is PC2700 ram it’s what the motherboard supports), and the play is smoother but I still have to keep the graphics turned down, which is a shame. Anyone have tips on what I could upgrade next that might have the biggest impact? I’d go straight for the video card, thinking maybe this older card doesn’t support some texture rendering or pixel somthing or other very well, but I’d love some input just in case I’m off base. Thanks!

Hey, with 1,5gb ram, 1,30GHz xp1700+(used to be 2.16ghz and xp 2000+ or 3000+ don’t know why it went down..) anyhow,
    Powercolor Radeon 9600 PRO(256 mb).
don’t know if it is relevant but,
    Motherboard name: Abit AN7
    Motherboardchipset Nvidia nFORCE2 Ultra 400
    Type: ATX

    Bleh I got a
    AMD 3200+ processor
    2gigs ram
    512mb Vid x1300radeon graphics card
    Windows XP
And I lag beyond belief.. I’m running it at Fastest frame rate and I have still Lost connection with the server due to a lag -.-” Its kinda lame how I pass the requirments but I can’t play worth a sqwat. I was thinking maybe my 3200 AMD is worse then I thought and was thinking about getting a new one but this says 3500+ is good and mine isn’t too far off from that :l So I don’t know what to do. This games Specs are for some NICE comps but the game is definitly worth it.

I have a quad core, 2.40 ghz, 2 Gb Ram, and a 518 video card, should i be able to run it smoothly?

  13. by Gotaro, on October 5 2008 @ 2:00 pm

    These are my specs:
    AMD Athlon 64 3800+
    2.0 GB OCZ Performance Memory
    ATI Radeon X800XL

My framerate is really too choppy for the game to be enjoyable. Don’t kid yourself; Just because the game will run OKAY doesn’t mean you are going to be happy. In combat, I only see maybe a few frames of each attack.. It makes the game boring because it turns it into watching my action buttons and not any cool animations..

Im running a AMD 4000 at 2.5ghz stable 2000ht 1 gig ram ati
1950pro Asus mb i get at times over 80 fps and it lags so bad, oh i have the fastest dsl tested on speed tests it comes out higher then 70 percent of the world…and os is xp pro fatal crashes, crashes to lockup, to desktop, the que’s on my server for rvr are forever, kinda ironic right? a rvr game where you dont rvr? Im in beta for lich king…its 1000% smoother…and as most of you know the graphics are nothing special in WAR…worst part is you cant get away from WoW in chat.

  15. by Tom, on October 6 2008 @ 11:32 pm

oh btw ive tried it with 2 gigs also it was some better but still so bad.

    i have a amd 3000+ with 3gb memory and an ATI 1600X 256.

    My comment:
    1. the game is brilliant, especially if you’re into pvp, WoW really sucks on that part.
    2. the graphics are warhammer, that is gray and gritty (but cewl looking) not high and mighty
    3. on my system it runs
    -smoothly in pve
    -a bit choppy in pvp
-not at all in raids (which really really stinks, cauz raids are HUGE FUN) as soon as we enter the central chamber and you have about 20-30 players, possibly another 20 to 30 enemy players AND another 15-30 npc’s stacked in a room than my fps goes down to 2-5 fps. I guess this has everything to do with lack of cpu power.
And (making a guess here) I’ve noticed this tends to be more common among the AMD then the Intel (from this and other reviews). So I guess you’re better of with an Intel.

Hey guys ok don’t worry warhammer doesn’t ask for THAT much requirements..
i bought a gateway on Newegg, refurbished.. 350$
    3Gb ram
    2.2 Ghz Amd Athlond X2 4200+
    320Gb Hard Drive

i bought an xtra graphics card by visiontek on Newegg also
for 54$ or something like that
    by Visiontek
    ATI radeon HD2600 Pro 256

I can run warhammer at full settings, i had a lil bit of lag when the game first came out but now im on the highest settings and it runs PERFECT!

so dont trip for 400$ you can play this game easily :D

  22. by pirpinick, on October 22 2008 @ 7:21 pm

    warhammer has many bugs.
warhammer dont play on xp pro.
i have tried many powerfull pc’s with different graphic cards and both amd and intel cpus.
i have sent to warhammer several emails to help me but they didn’t give a true answer.
the game seems good but the support sucks.
if you have a solution please be my guest if you want to change my mind about the game.

I’m running WAR on XP Pro, no probs here. You get the occasional alt+tab crash now and again if you tab out a lot but everyone’s getting that for now. What’s your hardware config?
